For budgeting purposes, you can usually expect to pay between $300 and $400 per installed light fixture for a residential project. If a light goes out you should call for service. LED lamps should not fail abruptly, but should fade away gradually. If this occurs within the manufacturers warranty period it will be replaced at no cost by the manufacturer. (Labor cost may be incurred.)
If a light goes out call for service immediately. LED lamps fade away, they do not stop working unless they have failed. If the failure occurs within the manufacturers warranty period the manufacture will replace it at no cost. (Labor cost may apply.) If you choose to replace the lamp yourself, be sure to use the same lamp wattage listed on your “As-Built” document.
Yes, it is very important that you maintain your system on an annual basis. Over the course of the year your system may become vulnerable to damage or aim changes due to landscape work and weather. To make sure your lights continue to shine as designed, your system needs to be examined and the fixtures cleaned and lubricated on an annual basis. Annual maintenance is also required to comply with the lifetime warranty. All WEStar Illumination new installations include 2 years of free maintenance. After that, you have the option to purchase one of our 3 maintenance plans.

There are various control options for your lighting systems that offer simple or complex solutions. There are standalone timers located in the transformer that control the system or your can get a system that offers manual control via an app and/or a switch in addition to programmed schedules. There is a control option that can meet all of your needs.
